Photo taken at Rewell Wood, near Arundel, West Sussex 12/05/19

The reference book says this is common throughout the UK, but I'd never seen one until I happened to come across one by chance at Rewell Wood in West Sussex (when I was looking for Pearl-bordered Fritillary butterflies). Unusually, it is only active by day. It flies from mid-May to late June.
