Pete's Walks - Nettle-leaved Bellflower

This is quite an uncommon plant in the south of England, so I was very pleased to spot and identify it.  In fact, this was only the second time the flower had been seen in the north of Buckinghamshire! The more deeply toothed and almost heart-shaped leaves (below) differentiate it from Great Bellflower. It can grow to a height of just over 3 feet, and is found in woods and hedgebanks. It flowers from July to September.
