I  found this on the Barton Hills nature reserve when I did a circular walk from Lilley to Hexton, Pegsdon and back. It was rather surprising that I found it on these chalk hills as it prefers sandy places (it is more commonly found along the coast). It was also flowering rather early, as it usually flowers between June and September.
