On entering a large L-shaped pasture, I turned right and followed the right-hand hedgerow, dropping down into a valley named Pednor Bottom. Where the field opened out to my right, the gradient became quite steep (there were some good views from this point too). On reaching a field corner, the path continued down some 'steps' to reach a lane in the valley bottom.

Across the lane a footpath went uphill through another pasture, following a tall hedgerow on my right. Beyond the pasture, the path continued to follow the hedgerow, now with a wire fence separating me from another field on my left. The now level path then continued beside another wire fence on my left, through another pasture. It then turned half-left to follow the left-hand hedgerow of another pasture to reach a lane in part of the parish of Pednor.

A footpath continued across the lane, initially running between a brick wall on my left and a post and rail fence. Further on it went half-right through a small wood (must be newly planted, it is not shown on my OS map), and then dropped straight downhill across an arable field to reach a bridleway running along the valley of Herberts Hole, where I turned right. I was now back on familiar territory, as this bridleway is part of the Chiltern Link and I've walked it as part of another couple of my own circular routes.
