I often do a short local walk on a Sunday morning, and this one on 15th March 2009 was fairly typical.
I walked up the road and took the field path to Whipsnade Heath. I followed the path through the wood to the car park and then took the road towards Whipsnade. As I reached the huge green, immediately past the Old Hunter's Lodge. I turned right and took the bridleway in the corner of the green that led to Whipsnade Downs.

When I reached Whipsnade Downs, I turned right for a short distance along the top, then turned left downhill beside the fence that here marks the boundary between Whipsnade Downs and Dunstable Downs. I followed the fence as it turned left, and continued on paths to Bison Hill.

From Bison Hill I returned to Whipsnade and followed paths from the church there to Holywell, before returning to Kensworth via Dovehouse Lane.
