The path continued through Thirds Wood for a while, then on leaving the wood carried on down a wide holly-lined track. I crossed a drive at the entrance to the former Wycliffe Centre at Horsleys Green, the path continuing past this into Dell's Wood. After a while the path turned left for maybe a hundred yards before going half-right and descending through the wood to a valley bottom. Here I went straight on at a junction with a bridleway, the climb up the opposite side of the valley seeming to be much shorter than the descent down the opposite side had been. When the path left Dell's Wood at a gate, it crossed a paddock half-right to reach Dell's Farm. Here I went half-left along a track, with the farm to my left and an arable field visible a short distance ahead of me.

On reaching the field I turned left along its edge, soon reaching a field corner where I turned right, now following a hedgerow on my left. This brought me to Leygrove's Wood, the path bearing slightly left as it continued through the wood. I went straight on at a path crossroads, the path now on a broad track for a while, before forking slightly right (white arrows showed the way, as usual) and soon reaching the edge of Leygrove's Wood. The path then cut across a small corner of a field between Leygrove's Wood and Pound Wood, where I turned right along a forestry track (another path went further right from the same junction). After a hundred yards or so I took a short path on the left that cut a corner from the track, before rejoining the track and following it (left) under the M40 to reach a road at Cadmore End. I went a little way left before crossing the road and making my way to a seat on the green to eat my lunch.
