On reaching a lane I turned left through the hamlet of Nuney Green. When it came to a junction, I went straight on along a bridleway through Nuney Wood. After a while it left this wood, continuing beside a wood called Walk Shaw on my left. On reaching a bridleway junction I went left, through a small part of Walk Shaw and then turning left along the far side. On reaching a corner of a hedge, the bridleway went left, soon following the left edge of a field, then going through two or three gates as it crossed part of a paddock, before going diagonally through a small plantation of trees to reach the A4074 at Cane End.

I crossed over and turned right (there used to be a Thai restaurant here, but its being redeveloped as new houses). I went straight on where another road came in from the right, then a short way further on took a path on the right. this started down a driveway, then went over a stile on the left, continuing along the right edge of a pasture. Beyond this I turned left along Park Lane, but just for a short way before taking a path on the right. This went across an orchard, then across part of a garden to enter Withy Wood. I immediately went left at a fork in the path, following this path for about half a mile through the wood. On nearing the far side it turned right just inside the wood. Soon the public footpath forked slightly right from what was a clear path, but the two came together again after a couple of hundred yards or so, and soon exited the wood at a lane.
