Pete's Walks- Little Missenden, Holmer Green and Mop End (page 3 of 4)

I crossed Mop End Lane and continued along a footpath just inside the edge of a wood (named The Rough Park on the OS map, and shown to be an Open Access area). Further on I passed close to an Electricity Substation (definitely not an Open Access area!), hidden in the wood to my right. The path then turned right, still in the woodland, and I soon saw some Primroses.

On leaving the wood, the path followed a hedgerow on the right, initially through a meadow sloping up to my left. It continued along a farm track, where I spotted a Holly Blue butterfly, and then followed a line of trees with some horse-jumps beside them. It eventually brought me to the drive to Shardeloes (a large white-painted mansion that is now divided into apartments), where I turned right and followed the drive gently downhill to reach Amersham cricket ground.
