Pete's Walks - Swan's Way

About my walk

I walked the Swan’s Way in nine days spread over four or five weeks in August and September 2007, each day walking a section of about 7 miles both ways so that I walked a total of around 130 miles. I chose to walk the route from North to South, as that is the way depicted on the leaflet produced by Buckinghamshire County Council (though it would have been just as easy to do it in the opposite direction).

All the mileages given are very rough indeed. The only figure I had to go on was that the total length of the route was meant to be 65 miles. My initial measurements made the route only 62 miles! I compensated by simply adding 0.3 miles to the distance of each of the nine walks to bring the total to 64.7 miles.
