Pete's Walks - Greensand Ridge Walk

About my walk

I walked the Greensand Ridge Walk in April 2006. As is now usual for my walks, I did each walk ‘there and back’, thus solving any transport problems and making the walk twice the challenge. I did the whole route in six separate days in a 15-day period.

Bedfordshire County Council have split the Greensand Ridge Walk into five sections, with a separate leaflet for each section. My walks were generally based on these sections, except that I split the second 10-mile section from Woburn to Ampthill into two walks.

All the mileages I have given are based on the Beds County Council leaflets for the Greensand Ridge Walk.

Click here to see a very rough map of the Greensand Ridge Walk (but only if you have already read my disclaimer and notes regarding maps).

Note: I have numbered each photograph (in red) and inserted the same number in the text to show where in the walk the photo was taken.
