When I came to a junction I went left, the bridleway then shortly after turning right as it reached an edge of the wood. A little further on I passed a pond on my left, where I spotted a Heron. The bridleway now became very muddy, the worst section of the whole walk.

When I next reached a junction, I remembered I needed to turn left but could only see paths going right or straight on - in fact I had to go straight on a few yards and then I saw the path I wanted on the left, half-hidden by branches. This path was again a bit muddy in places, but not as bad as the section after the pond, as it dropped slowly downhill through what was now Back Wood. Near the bottom of the slope I came to another junction, where I finally found a waymark, confirming that I needed to turn right here. The bridleway now went gently uphill through the wood until after a quarter of a mile or so I came to a junction with a sandy path, going left and straight on - there was no waymark or sign but I knew from past experience that I needed to turn left here

There were no more difficulties with the bridleway, as it was now straightforward following it straight on through the woods. Soon I had views to my left out towards Milton Keynes and the surrounding countryside. After about half a mile the bridleway ended where a track or drive started, leading me into the village of Bow Brickhill.
