As I drew level with the farm, I turned through a gate and went half-right through an overgrown field. On the far side I turned right on to a track to pass the farm, but then turned left onto a footpath, following it just right of a line of trees to a field corner, with a stile just a few yards to the right in a hedge, giving access to a minor road. Across the road, and a few yards to the left, another path continued along the left edge of a large paddock (there were four Alpacas in a wooden shelter here) with Bowers Farm just to my left. The path then crossed a ploughed field to a path junction on the far side, where I continued straight on along a broad grass headland between two more ploughed fields. Beyond these I turned left at a path crossroads, following a hedge and then a wood on my left, After a few hundred yards, the path turned left and ran through trees for a hundred yards or so to reach the Red Lion pub at Coleshill, opposite the village church.

I crossed a road here and took a short path to the left of the churchyard, soon reaching another road. Across this, a path went down a gravel drive, soon continuing between fences and hedge (I took the left fork at a path junction). The path then went slightly left across a ploughed field, passing just left of a small copse in the middle of the field, then heading to a field corner. The path continued a short way through a wood (actually parts of two, West Wood and Coleshill Larches). It then continued beside a hedge on the left and eventually reached Winchmore Hill opposite a chapel.
