I crossed the road, went a few yards to the right and turned down a lane through Park Corner. When this turned right I went straight on down a bridleway with tall hedges of mature trees either side. This soon curved right to a farm gate (a path went right here, part of the Chiltern Way), beyond which the bridleway continued between fences with Chears Farm a little way to my left, to reach Priors Wood. The bridleway continued through the wood, soon gently descending into a valley. It left the wood as it started up the opposite slope, now with tall trees on my left and a hedge and fence to my right (there was a lot of Wild Clematis here).

At the top of the slope the bridleway passed the grounds of Redpits Manor on the left, going left and right between some outbuildings before continuing between hedgerows (limiting the views) as it dropped down into another valley. In the valley bottom I came to a bridleway T-junction, where I turned left and followed another bridleway along the valley bottom.
