At the end of the bridleway I went a few yards right along a lane then took a bridleway on the other side that ran a short distance through a wood to reach another lane. Across this, the bridleway continued with a wood called Nipper's Grove on my right, with a couple of large fields on my left. Across Park Lane I continued for a few hundred yards between a hedge and a wooden fence on my right to reach a property at a point marked Whitewood Heath on the OS map.

I then turned right onto a bridleway heading north, which was soon back in more woods. After a few hundred yards, where a field came into view ahead and to my left, the bridleway turned right through an area of trees and Rhododendrons to reach a lane. Here I turned left, following the lane through the hamlet of Hook End. I went straight on where a lane came in from the right, and again where another lane went left. Just past this second junction I turned right onto another bridleway.

Again this bridleway soon brought me into yet more woodland. After almost half a mile I passed through the tiny hamlet of Heath End, and then after another half mile of woods I reached a lane. Here I turned right to swiftly reach a T-junction, where I went left.
