At the bottom of the valley I reached another of the Wormsley Estate drives, where I went a few yards left then continued down a hedge-lined bridleway starting on the other side. As always it was very pleasant following this bridleway through the Wormsley valley, and today I had the added pleasure of seeing several Cowslips. After a quarter of a mile or so, I turned right onto a crossing footpath (part of the Chiltern Way), which followed a fence on my left and gradually rose uphill towards Commonhill Wood.

On reaching the wood there was a steep but short section before I reached a bridleway, where I turned right (joining part of the route I did last Sunday) and followed the bridleway less steeply up through the wood. On finally reaching and going through a gate, I turned right (leaving the Chiltern Way). Last week I then turned half-left across Ibstone Common, but today I went straight on along the edge of the common, initially with some gorse bushes on my left.

On reaching a solitary tree I forked half-left, following a clear path through the grass to reach a drive. Across this, I continued along the right edge of the common to reach Gray's Lane, where I turned right and soon passed Hellcorner Farm.
