I spotted a patch of Betony beside the bridleway, shortly before I passed an attractive large pond on my left. On the edge of Back Wood, the bridleway turned left for a short distance, before turning right and continuing northwards through the wood. Soon there was a steep slope downwards on my left, and I got my first glimpse out to the flat lands around Milton Keynes. Eventually the bridleway became a wood-side track with fields on my left (I spotted a Kestrel here), and then became a surfaced lane leading into Bow Brickhill.

Approaching Bow Brickhill
At the end of the lane I turned right, staggering uphill on a very steep residential road. Just as I left the village, I took a footpath on the left (there are two paths starting here, I took the one heading further right). This led through the woods of Bow Brickhill Park, continuing on into Brown's Wood and on into Wavendon Wood.
