On reaching the top of the hill and leaving the wood, I turned right along a track to reach Oxlease Farm. The track turned half-left to pass-through the farmyard, and on the other side, I turned right along a footpath following another farm track. This soon turned left, to run parallel to the Stonor Valley, which I was soon able to see over to my right. I was now walking straight into the sun, making photographing the view ahead tricky, but there were fine views both across and back along the Stonor valley.

After about three-quarters of a mile the track petered out, but the footpath continued beside a hedge on my right. The path soon turned to the right, and after a hundred yards or so entered Paradise Wood. It continued through the wood for a few hundred yards, then followed a farm track downhill across a ploughed field to reach a road near Middle Assendon. I turned right and followed the road northwards along the valley for about a quarter of a mile.
