I turned right and followed the path through the wood, initially with a section that had been cleared and replanted on my left. After a few hundred yards I came to a junction (white arrows on trees and a waymark post) where I took the path forking right - there were a lot more Primroses here. The path ran through a plantation of young trees, then there was a nice section of one or two hundred yards through Beech trees. A waymark sign then showed where the path turned right into an area of coniferous trees, the path continuing through these for a few hundred yards to reach a lane on the edge of Ibstone (this was the lane I'd crossed shortly after leaving Fingest).

The lane in Ibstone, where I turned right and passed Ibstone House
I turned right along the lane, passing Ibstone House on my left. I then turned left along a bridleway, running through the park land of the big house, and soon spotted a handful of Fallow Deer. The bridleway was very charming as it descended through the park down into a valley, with lovely views ahead and on either side - this was definitely a highlight of the walk! In the valley bottom (Twigside Bottom, I think) I came to a bridleway T-junction where I turned right, but only for 50 yards or so before turning left onto another bridleway, following a track to Harecramp Cottages (so named on the OS Map).
