The bridleway soon re-crossed the drive I'd just crossed (another, unofficial, path seemed to go left here, almost parallel to the drive) and carried on through more of the wood (now definitely Burnt Platt). On reaching a bridleway T-junction I turned left. After about a quarter of a mile I came to a point where, according to the OS map, a lane changed to an 'Other route with Public Access' (it looked like a track in both directions) and where a couple of paths and tracks also converged. I turned right along the lane, following it for about a third of a mile until it was crossed by a bridleway, where I turned left. The bridleway ran through Coldmoor Wood, another nice Beech wood. After a while it turned half-left, then a bit further on turned right, now with a small field (enclosed by the woods) just to my left.

The bridleway was descending now, and in the valley bottom I went straight on over a bridleway crossing. I now climbed gently uphill, in what I think is part of Greatbottom Wood, still surrounded by lovely beech trees. After eventually leaving the wood, the now level bridleway brought me to the B481 road at Satwell. I crossed over, and went down a short lane into the hamlet or village, turning left at a T-junction, this road soon bringing me back to the B481. I turned right at the junction, but then immediately turned right onto a footpath that led into Padnell's Wood. I went straight on at a path crossroads, the path then curving left through the trees to reach Rocky Lane.
